TOWN PLANNING

SY2 Planning has extensive experience of advising on a wide range of planning issues and is very experienced in taking schemes through the planning process, from initial planning appraisals and feasibility studies through to the submission of planning applications and the discharge of planning conditions.

We have both local authority experience and private consultancy experience and understand the challenges of obtaining planning permission.

We are familiar with key planning issues such as viability, design standards, housing mix, amenity, economic and social change, environmental considerations, daylight/sunlight, zero carbon, the Circular Economy and energy and sustainability issues and work with a wide network of consultants to ensure that we have the necessary technical support to achieve successful planning applications. We also recognise the need to provide social value to projects.

We are experienced in public consultation and engagement with key stakeholders, and can advise on consultation strategies, prepare exhibition boards and undertake questionnaires and workshops.

We work across the UK, but predominantly in London and the South East and are able to tailor our expertise to all scales of development. We have experience of working across a number of sectors including Central London uses, mixed use and regeneration, residential, commercial, tourism, culture and leisure, education, health, town centre and retail and public sector.
